Abstract

The success of the Family Planning (KB) Program is heavily dependent on the performance of field officers, who serve as the frontline of service delivery to the community. This study aims to determine the influence of competence, interpersonal communication, and compensation on the performance of Family Planning field officers at the Central Java Provincial BKKBN. The study population consisted of 1,332 Family Planning field officers, with a sample of 95 respondents determined using the Lemeshow formula and probability sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that competence has a positive and significant effect on officer performance, with a calculated t-value of 5.654 (exceeding the t-table value of 1.986) and a significance level of 0.000 (below 0.05). Interpersonal communication also has a positive and significant effect on performance, with a calculated t-value of 4.199 (exceeding 1.986) and a significance level of 0.000 (below 0.05). Compensation has a positive and significant effect on performance, with a calculated t-value of 2.357 (exceeding 1.986) and a significance level of 0.021 (below 0.05). The Central Java Provincial BKKBN is expected to enhance officer competence through continuous training, workshops, and capacity-building activities.
